Most Anticipated Movie Of The Year...

By far and away, Happy Feet! Unlike any other movie this year, I fully expect to see this in the theater and to buy the DVD the day it comes out.

Any movie with that many penguins in it can't be bad. I'm very very very much looking forward to this movie. :)

It was the original teaser trailer that did it for me. Ramón singing I Did It My Way with his backup. So full of heart! I like that even better than the current trailer.

The animation looks unreal, er I mean, real. Is this another step up in animation, or is it on par with recent releases?

I think the animators are playing to their strengths. Our semi-translucent skin is still notoriously hard to get perfectly right.

Fur (not so much feathers, but penguin feathers are pretty fur-like) has been the highlight of a few siggraphs. And after Monsters Inc and Ice Age, I think they're pretty confident in their fur and ice.
