I like the point.

TechCrunch profiles The Point today.

It strikes the same nerve as 43 Things.  Makes me want to sign up and take action.

And it took me a minute to figure out that the logo wasn't some sort of crescent moon or raptor's beak.

Anyway, how wonderful would it be if one such conduit gets traction and we can cause change (on a massive scale) for the better?

That is one wild logo. Growing up in British Columbia, I immediately thought it was some pseudo-First Nations design.

Yes! I couldn't put my finger on it, but I see what you mean. Something about the bold strokes and primary color? That jibes with the Eagle's Beak I saw.

The icon ... I first thought it depicted Sisyphus, rolling his bouler up a slope but never getting a rest cause it rolls down again.
Mot at all what the site aims for I suppose ^_^

But if you look closely, the boulder is clearly just past the tipping point. This Sisyphus has succeeded!

So, even though you can edit comments now in LJ, you still found reason to reply to your own comment.

Now that you've replied to yourself, does that still prevent you from editing the original comment?

o_O I didn't even know you can edit your own comments!

I don't see any method to edit it...so I'm going to assume that replying to myself removes that ability?

Let's see what happens when I place THIS comment! X_x

EDIT: Well look at that. I can edit it! MY WORLD IS CHANGED.
And your hypothesis is correct - replying to a comment, even if you reply to yourself, makes it so you cannot edit anymore.
